The xx have posted a new demo online. The song, 'Open Eyes', is the first new xx material since their self-titled (and Mercury Award winning) debut album.
The band wrote on their blog: "'Open Eyes' is a demo we did whilst creating our new album, we just wanted to share it with you. xx The xx"
The second xx album is expected our sometime in the first half of 2012 and, according to Jamie xx, has been deeply influenced by club music. The band have said that they hope to have the album finished in time to play next summer's festival circuit.
