One of the most enduring promotional jingles of our time - the McDonald's 'I'm Lovin' It' jingle - has long been attributed to Justin Timberlake.
However, it has now been revealed that although he sang it, the pop star was not the writer behind the catchy little ditty - nor was Pharrell Williams.
In fact, it was rapper Pusha T - a collaborator of both of those artists and one half of hip-hop duo Clipse - who came up with the ear worm back in 2003.
The factoid came to light during an interview with CEO of marketing firm Translation, who were responsible for the McDonald's campaign, on US radio station Hot 97. He corrected the interviewer who mentioned Timberlake and Williams, saying "You know who did that? Pusha T. That's crazy that Pusha T wrote the song to McDonald's!"
A rep for Pusha T, real name Terrence Thornton, confirmed to Rolling Stone that it was true.
So, now you know. You can get on with your life.
