If you're a regular reader of these pages you'll no doubt be aware that The Strypes are one of our favourite bands. Having caught two of their shows at Electric Picnic and another two on Arthur's Day and still not had enough, we were delighted by a press release which came winging its way into entertainment towers this morning.
The Cavan group (average age of around 15, don't forget) will bring their rhythm and blues show to Whelan's just in time for Christmas on December 18th. Tickets will cost you €17.50.
The Strypes have had a pretty big 2012 so far, playing a rake of shows across the country and seemingly popping up at almost every festival going. They were even named No.1 in NME's Top 5 Bands to watch - high praise indeed for a group so young. Well deserved, though, in our opinion. Get your tickets quick!
