There's little denying that they're a few years removed from their heyday but we still wouldn't be surprised to learn if a few a teenage tears were shed by yesterday's news that The Jonas Brothers have decided to call it a day.
The trio - Joe, Nick and Kevin - decided to dissolve the band three weeks after cancelling a scheduled tour on short notice.
Speaking to People magazine, Kevin Jonas said "it's over for now" and his brother Joe added that the split was a "unanimous decision". Nick Jonas left the door for a reunion slightly ajar, saying: "It's really hard to say 'forever'. We're closing a chapter, for sure."
The Jonas Brothers released four albums during their time together with their fifth, and potentially final, album V slated for release later this year. The trio sold upwards of 8 million albums worldwide since 2008.
