The Flaming Lips will make their second Forbidden Fruit appearance this summer after being announced as the Saturday headliners for the Kilmainham festival.

Others acts confirmed to appear include Bell X1, a Flying Lotus 3D show, F*ck Buttons, Nils Frahm, The Young Knives and Vann Music. Sunday's headline acts will be announced tomorrow (Thursday 12th).

Wayne Coyne's Flaming Lips will make their first Irish appearance since headlining the inaugural Forbidden Fruit way back in 2011, while Choice Prize nominated Bell X1 will be making their only Dublin live performance of the summer. Electronic music producer Flying Lotus will also perform in tandem with a brand new live 3D audiovisual get-up.

Also confirmed thus far are Bristol's outstanding F*ck Buttons, German electronic artists Nils Frahm as well as The Young Knives and Irish up n' comers Vann Music.

Forbidden Fruit will take place once again on the grounds of the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Kilmainham on Saturday 31st May and Sunday 1st June. Tickets start from just €49.50 (inc. booking fee) for one day early bird tickets and are on sale now.
