Ron Asheton, guitarist with punk band The Stooges, has died at the age of 60.
Asheton, who founded the band in 1967 with his brother Scott, Dave Alexander and Iggy Pop, was found at his home in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Police believe he may have suffered a heart attack, and had been possibly been dead for several days when he was found on his living room sofa.
His last work with The Stooges was 2007's 'The Weirdness' album. RIP.
