The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards are due to take place this Sunday January 31st at Los Angeles' Staples Centre at 8pm local time. The list of music stars set to perform at the ceremony is extensive and includes award frontrunners Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, who lead the nominations with ten and eight nods each respectively.

More performers and presenters were announced for the event yesterday, and include our own local lass Imelda May, performing with legendary guitarist Jeff Beck in a special tribute to guitar virtuoso Les Paul, who passed away last year. Meanwhile, Green Day are set to perform with the cast of the "American Idiot" musical, current Grammy nominees Jamie Foxx and T-Pain will perform with Slash and Doug E. Fresh while Lil Wayne will perform material from his upcoming 'Rebirth' album with fellow rappers Eminem and Drake as well as Blink 182's Travis Barker, his last live performance before he embarks on a one year jail sentence.

Some of the more spectacular productions in the show are bound to come in the form of Usher's special 3-D Grammy tribute to Michael Jackson, as well as a special fund-raising segment for Haitian relief featuring Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli. No doubt, the world is poised with baited breath to see what Lady GaGa comes up with for her performance, and of course, what outfit she'll choose to wear this time. Rumours have been circulating that the Poker Face singer is set to duet with Sir Elton John, who has also recently been announced to perform at the event.

Also on the bill for the night are the Black Eyed Peas, Pink, Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, the Dave Matthews Band, Roberta Flack, Lady Antebellum, Maxwell, the Zac Brown Band;  Smokey Robinson and Carrie Underwood.
