Which song titles can you think of?
We all love listening to music, there's no denying it. But have you ever considered the sub-genre of listening to tracks that have brackets in the song title? (Nope, neither have we).
However, when you really think about it, there are plenty of songs with brackets in the title that offer up some of potentially the best of tracks from musicians and artists.
The topic all started with a tweet from Sam Atkins on Twitter, who asked his followers: "What is the best song with brackets in the title? Surely one of the most underrated sub-genres of music?"
What is the best song with Brackets in the title? Surely one of the most underrated sub-genres of music?

Sam left a few suggestions of his own - and, actually, they're all of his suggestions. Enjoy.
Shania Twain's '(If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here!' was his number one choice, followed by Blossoms.
The initial thought was thanks to this from the new Blossoms record. https://t.co/BZwaskjWGR

Then Arcade Fire and Rihanna's 'Only Girl (In The World)' got a mention.

Of course, there's some Beyonce included, as well as George Michael and Aretha Franklin with 'I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)'.

Here's a thought - someone should really make a Spotify playlist of these songs with brackets immediately.
How could I forget this modern classic. https://t.co/puFNpEb8Mu

We could probably do it ourselves (but we don't want to).
They used more punctuation on this album than anyone is history: https://t.co/wYfir7EzZO

There's a lot of pop in this list, but we'll take all of the cheese we can get.
I think I finally have the answer. This is surely the finest moment for Brackets in a song. https://t.co/mHOQ7RQhOU

So yes, in conclusion, it's pretty clear we may have an under-rated sub-genre on our hands.
everybody (backstreet’s back)
crazy rap (colt 45 & 2 zig zags)
(you gotta) fight for your right (to party)
hit ‘em up style (oops!)
jambalaya (on the bayou)
you’re so square (baby, i don’t care)
the shoop shoop song (it’s in his kiss)
fuck it (i don’t want you back)— stephanie turner (@weffanie) February 17, 2020
We thought of a few more songs with brackets in the titles ourselves, such as Deftones with 'Back to School (Mini Maggit)', Christopher Cross with 'Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)', and also Bombay Bicycle Clubs' new song 'Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)'.
Here's one of the best out there - Britney Spears with '(You Drive Me) Crazy'. Let us know if there's any more out there that you can think of.
