Iceland's Sigur Ros will open their European tour with a date at Dublin's O2 on 16th November next.
The band's new album Kveikur is set to drop on "17th/18th June" (a two-day release?) and is their first on XL Recordings and, according to reports, the band are cultivating a more aggressive, direct sound.
To mark the announcement today, the band have also released a new song 'Brennisteinn' to the web and you can check it out over at www.sigur-ros.co.uk or on YouTube below.
Tickets for the Dublin show, their biggest Irish headline gig to date, will go on sale from Thursday 28th March at 9am priced at €40. be in with a chance of winning some tickets in our competition section!
