Scissor Sisters have revealed their third album will be called 'Night Work', and will be release on June 25th.
Multi-instrumentalist and lyricist BabyDaddy told the Daily Star that the album almost didn't happen, as the glam rockers very nearly quit making music altogether.
"There was a lot of material, but it didn't make sense ... I only wanted Scissor Sisters to come back if there was a reason for us to come back, and if there had been enough of a change to fill up the airwaves".
Meanwhile, Ana Matronic described the album as "a dance record".
"We realised we didn't need to make the same album again. So, there are no ballads"
The band are streaming the album's closing track 'Invisible Light' on their website scissorsisters.com now (featuring a spoken word passage by the very talented Sir Ian McKellen), and are set to release 'Fire With Fire' as a single on June 18th.
