He may have the number one single in the UK at the moment, but you won't be hearing Robbie Williams on BBC Radio 1 anytime soon.
Candy, Williams' first single in over eight years and seventh solo effort to reach the summit of the charts, has been deemed "irrelevant" by BBC Radio 1's top brass.
A BBC spokesman told The Sun: "Radio 1 see it not as a question of age, but of relevance. They think there are acts more appropriate to their target audience of 15-29."
Candy is the quickest selling single by a male artist so far in 2012, shifting over 137,000 units last week.
Just sayin'.
