Whitney Houston is no stranger to controversy. An on/off crack cocaine habit and a messy divorce have made that an inevitability. But since she kicked off her Nothing But Love World Tour last year in support of her comeback album 'I Look To You', the controversy surrounding Whitney has had nothing to do with her personal life. Instead, the musical icon has faced claims that she has lost the voice that made her famous. Reviews from recent performances have been predominantly poor, while State.ie described one of the weekend's Dublin performances as 'a bit of a catastrophe'.

The video below shows Australian fans were thoroughly unimpressed with her Brisbane performance, but then again, the Aussies were the only nationality that felt the need to rant about Britney, so perhaps we shouldn't take their word for it.

In Whitney's defence, back at the beginning of the month she had to postpone the European leg of her tour due to an 'upper respiratory infection'. Surely such a thing is bound to have had an effect on her singing ability?

So, was she really that bad? Fan reactions have been mixed, but certainly kinder than those of the critics. What do you think? Let us know in the poll below.
