Having resolved their longstanding legal dispute with label EMI earlier this year, Pink Floyd have now announced plans to release remastered editions of their entire back catalogue.
All fourteen of the iconic band's studio albums have been given the once over, and they will all be reissued in their new repackaged format on September 26th. The same day, there'll also be a number of new editions of their seminal 1973 album 'Dark Side of the Moon', including a six disc 'Immersion box set, a two disc 'Experience' box set, as well as new vinyl and digital editions. On November 7th, its follow up 'Wish You Were Here', from 1975, will get the same treatment, before 1979's 'The Wall,' Pink Floyd's most iconic record is released in these greatly expanded formats in February 2012.
EMI's CEO Roger Faxon stated, "This is a unique collaboration between EMI and one of the most creative and influential bands in history. We have worked together for more than a year on this programme which incorporates all the elements that have made Pink Floyd one of the most inspiring forces in modern music".
