He may have more money than he knows what to do with, but at least Drake is capable of the odd random act of kindness.

The Canadian rapper made the day of a number of people in a Miami supermarket by paying for their groceries - and the total bill came to around $50,000 (€40,000).

Reports suggest that he went into the Sabor Tropical store at around 4pm on Thursday and announced over the tannoy that he was going to pay everyone's bill, even encouraging people to buy more than they normally would.

One shopper told E! News: "No one knew he was coming at all, we just came to do groceries. Cameras were being set up so we were all wondering what was to happen.

“He took photos with everyone who asked and shook hands. He helped people find what they were looking for and encouraged all to buy everything they want and to fill their carts.”

It's just the latest in a bout of generosity by the Toronto man; in recent days, he has given a University of Miami student $50,000 towards her tuition, and made a $25,000 donation to a high school where he had been shooting a video.

Indeed, it seems that all three good deeds are connected to his latest video for 'God's Plan' - so we can expect to see it soon. And even if it is for promotional purposes, money is money...
