It's safe to say that Pepsi's most recent ad didn't exactly go down well with the majority of people.
In fact, the soft drink corporation pulled the ad that yesterday after the controversy, admitting that they 'missed the mark' in terms of its tone.
Now, however, people are noticing the similarity between the ad and The Chemical Brothers' 1999 video for their single 'Out of Control'. In the video, two rioters in a city go on the run, only to be confronted by police - before swigging from a bottle of the fictional 'Viva Cola', as the camera pans back and reveals it was an ad for the drink.
Actress Rosario Dawson, who stars in the video, was one of the people who pointed out the parallels...
Eerily reminiscent of Chemical Brothers"Out Of Control"vid we shot in Mexico City ~15 yrs ago sadly minus the point: https://t.co/LTI9mJ7zjS https://t.co/DqBjKdQylS
