The former Beatle teased what appears to be a covers album on Instagram

Paul McCartney certainly hasn't spent the last year in various lockdowns sitting at home and twiddling his thumbs.

The former Beatle wrote, recorded and released a new solo album 'McCartney III' entirely at home in 2020 - and now he's been busy with another project, judging by his latest Instagram post.

McCartney is no stranger to collaborating with younger artists, having done just that with Rihanna and Kayne West on the track 'FourFiveSeconds' in 2015.

However, his new endeavour - which appears to be a covers album - ropes in the likes of Beck, St. Vincent, Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age, Anderson .Paak, Damon Albarn, Blood Orange, Massive Attack's 3D, Dominic Fike, Khruangbin and Phoebe Bridgers.

A Beatles fan site confirmed that the project is a covers album called 'IIImagined', which sees the above artists and more cover McCartney's most recent album 'McCartney III'.

See below for the supposed tracklist:

Long Tailed Winter Bird’ by Damon Albarn
‘Find My Way’ by Beck
‘Pretty Boys’ by Khruangbin
‘Women And Wives’ by St. Vincent
‘Lavatory Lil’ by Josh Homme
‘Deep Deep Feeling’ by 3D (Robert del Naja from Massive Attack)
‘Slidin” by Ed O’Brien
‘The Kiss Of Venus’ by Dominic Fike
‘Seize The Day’ by Phoebe Bridgers
‘Deep Down’ by Blood Orange
‘Winter Bird/When Winter Comes’ by Anderson .Paak

There's no word on a release date yet, but watch this space.
