The pop singer and Voice judge admitted she was struggling following the birth
She declined to reveal the gender of her first baby until the child was over three years old, but Paloma Faith has announced the birth of her second with husband Leyman Lahcine on Instagram.
The 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' singer gave birth to another girl on Saturday and revealed the news to fans with a brutally honest post last night.
"I had a planned c section yesterday I’m in a lot of pain and didn’t sleep last night but it’s worth it to see and meet the new little cherub I have infront of me," she said, posting a picture of her newborn's feet and herself in a hospital gown. "It’s been about 30 hours and already I’m Exhausted, sore and my nipples are on fire with a baby piranha that wants to kill me On them every few hours but I am of course elated!"
Faith went on to explain that she was struggling and in "so much pain" having lost a litre of blood, as celebrity friends including Rochelle Humes, Laura Whitmore and actress Vicky McClure congratulated her. "I’m now going through the constant worry of bottle vs breast, last time I breast fed exclusively and I think it was too hard! I don’t know if I wana put myself through that this time..... but I’m Trying anyway," she wrote.
Many fans have applauded her for being open about her experience and difficulties, and sent words of encouragement, with one noting: "The guilt you feel about wanting to give up breastfeeding is overwhelming, why do we put ourselves through it? Good luck lovely lady, whatever you do." Another said: "Very real experiences - Mothers who let other Mothers know they’re not alone with concerns like this one! Respect to @Palomafaith."
