And it premieres this week
Paul Mescal, best-known as the star of 'Normal People', has another gig lined up. And it's a very cool one.
The actor will appear in the music video for 'Scarlet' from the Rolling Stones.
The single is a previously unreleased track that the group recorded with Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page back in 1974.
The Rolling Stones shared a teaser for the video featuring Mescal on their Instagram.
According to reports, the actor will play a “rock ’n’ roll leading man” in the video.
It was shot at London’s Claridge’s Hotel via social distancing and will premiere on the Rolling Stones Youtube channel this Thursday. Mick Jagger is also set to make an appearance, according to the Insta teaser.
Paul Mescal has been in the headlines quite a bit of late.
There was a lot of love for him and Dermot Kennedy's performance together on TV broadcast 'Some Summer Night' last week.
Mescal also recently earned an Emmy nomination for his performance as Connell Waldron in 'Normal People'. The awards ceremony will be hosted virtually. Mescal is up against some major players for Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie, with fellow nominees including Jeremy Irons for 'Watchmen', Hugh Jackman from 'Bad Education', Mark Ruffalo in 'I Know This Much is True', and Jeremy Pope from Netflix's 'Hollywood'.
He will also star in a new TV series, 'The Deceived', which is out later this year.
