Noah and the Whale have announced a UK and Ireland tour as well as details of their upcoming third studio album.

The follow up to last year's 'The First Days of Spring' will be called 'Last Night On Earth' and is due in March 2011, though a fixed release date has yet to be announced. Interestingly enough, the band have complemented their session in the studio in Los Angeles with recordings they made in a synagogue in London's Bethnal Green, so expect a sound equally as expansive as the last record.

In support of the new album the London alternative folk outfit will be playing a number of dates around the UK and Ireland, including a night at Whelan's on Sunday April 3rd. Tickets priced €18 go on sale this Friday November 26th at 9am, while presale tickets are available for fanclub members to purchase now.
