Nick Cave has signed a deal to release his second novel in 2009.
'Death of Bunny Munro' is not due out until September next year, but Canongate have bought the rights to publish the novel.
Cave has not released a work of fiction since 1989's 'And the Ass Saw the Angel'.
His new work is said to be about 'a man who travels around the south of England with his son, after the suicide of his wife', and is also expected to be released on audiobook format, narrated by Cave himself.
