New Young Pony Club singer Ty Bulmer has fallen ill, forcing the London new wave band to postpone their upcoming Irish dates.

The band were set to perform tracks from their recently released second album 'The Optimist' at Cyprus Avenue in Cork tonight (11th), Belfast's Stiff Kitten tomorrow (12th) and Dublin's Tripod this Saturday (13th). These dates have now been postponed until late May, with the Cyprus Avenue gig now taking place on May 28th, and the other rescheduled dates still to be announced.

A limited number of extra tickets will go on sale on Monday March 15th. Refunds are available from point of purchase.

Meanwhile, R. Kelly has cancelled his entire European tour after developing nodules on his vocal chords. The R&B singer has been advised by his doctor to rest his voice for at least at month. All dates, including his scheduled Grand Canal Theatre gig, are to be rescheduled at a later date.
