PJ Harvey has announced that she will release a new album, entitled 'Let England Shake' in early 2011. Though she last year released 'A Woman a Man Walked By', her second collaborative album with John Parish, this will be Polly Jean's first new solo album since 2007's 'White Chalk'.

Though Parish is once again on board, it has been produced by Flood, best known for his work with U2 and Depeche Mode. The Bad Seeds' Mick Harvey has also contributed to the new record.

Speaking to NME, Harvey revealed, "We played most of the music live. I didn’t set down any rules. For some reason, we were all in a very good place, with a lot of energy, intensity and vitality in us at that time. It was a really enjoyable experience, and I think the record’s ended up full of energy and quite an uplifting experience because of it."

'Let England Shake' is due for release in Ireland on Friday February 11th.
