Kings of Leon bass player Jared Followill has indicated that the band's sixth album will be released next September.
Speaking to NME, Followill said: "I thought we were going to make a really mature album but I'm amazed how youthful it sounds."
Followill had previously suggested that the band's next album could have been due in early 2012, but it appears that prediction was a tad premature. The Oklahoman band appear to have emerged unscathed following rumours of a potential split, brought on by the 'personal problems' of lead singer Caleb Followill.
Reports also suggest that Kings of Leon will embark on a pretty extensive European tour before the year is out, so odds of a festival appearance or large scale standalone gig in Ireland have increased greatly.
