In the midst of endless rumours that she's irreversibly fallen out with her Girls Aloud bandmates, Nadine Coyle has revealed that she is taking the release of her debut album 'Insatiable' into her own hands by setting up her own record label.
The Derry born, LA based singer will release 'Insatiable' through new label 'Black Pen Records' on November 5th. She has also followed in the footsteps of Faithless by signing a deal with Tesco to make the supermarket chain the sole stockists of the album. Of course, 'Insatiable' will also be available through a number of digital retailers including iTunes, Amazon and Tesco's online store.
Speaking to BBC News, Coyle admitted "The traditional model for selling an album isn't the only way of doing things ... To be able to create an album where you are in complete control of your own work is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an artist."
The title track, which Coyle co-wrote with Robbie Williams' former writing partner Guy Chambers, will be released as the album's lead single on October 29th. You can listen to a brief and less than promising snippet of the song via YouTube.
