Good news for fans of My Bloody Valentine. Following on from a reformation which involved the 90s lo-fi pioneers' first gigs in 16 years and the successful re-issues of their classic albums Loveless and Isn't Anything, frontman Kevin Shields had announced that the band plan to record two new albums.

Picking Up precisely where they left off, the band will recommence work on songs written for their aborted third album. Mr Shields told The New York Times that he recently "realised that all the stuff [he] was doing in 1996 and 1997 was a lot better than [he] thought."

On completion of said album My Bloody Valentine will start working on all new material for a completely new album.
