OneTwoOneTwo, a music documentary film festival curated by Una Mullally and Cillian McDonnell, will take centre stage in Dublin's Light House Cinema from October 19th to 21st.

Docs lined up to be shown include the Talking Heads concert film Stop Making Sense, DiG! - a film which focuses on the often tumultuous band relationships between the Dandy Warhols and the Brian Jonestown Massacre. Also included are In Bed With Madonna, The Devil and Daniel Johnston and the wonderful A Joyful Slog, a film which shines a much deserved spotlight on the Irish DIY music scene.

Speaking to entertainment.ie, co-organiser Cillian McDonnell explained the motivations behind the festival. "Una and I were both really impressed with the Light House's programming since the cinema reopened", said McDonnell. " . I think witnessing the success of Stop Making Sense there made me think differently about the Light House, the whole cinema experience and just the power that music can wield within such a space. It was rather poignant that I attended SMS on Good Friday, as the cinema can sometimes feel like church - eyes front, sit still, shut your mouth and behave. It was so refreshing to see people laugh, cheer, dance in the aisles and be genuinely moved by what flashed on the screen and flooded through the speakers."

Initial discussions yielded a longlist of about 150 documentaries, which were then whittled down to about 20 and then, eventually, to the ten you can see listed below in the full schedule.

"We wanted to put together a programme that encompassed old, new, classic, concert, specialist, popular, local and obscure documentaries with absolutely no boundaries when it came to the specific genre of music."
