It's time to dance again

The Mother team are taking over The National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks for their biggest and most exciting Pride show yet.

The Mother Pride Block Party is back for a full weekend of celebrations on June 25 and 26. After three years without a Pride party, The Mother team has pulled out all the stops with a full weekend-long queer festival.

Headlining this special Pride Block Party weekend are Brazilian superstar Anitta on the Saturday. The incredible Rina Sawayama takes to the stage on the Sunday.

Other acts appearing across the weekend include queer ICON Peaches, electro-pop sensation Le Boom, choice nominee Elaine Mai, 'Ru Paul's Drag Race UK VS The World' winner Blu Hydrangea, Jodie Harsh, the Mother DJs and Panti Bliss.

The line-up boasts shows from Sing Along Social, Mother's own Drag Aerobics, stunning drag from Victoria, Davina, Veda, Pixie Woo, Paul Ryder, Regina George and the queens from SIS, Haus of W.I.G. & Disco Utopia. They feature alongside sets from DJ's Kelly-Anne Byrne, Tara Kumar, Claire Beck, Conor Behan, Stephen Dowling and DJ RÍ.

Cormac Cashman, co-founder and promoter of Mother had this to say about the Pride lineup:

"After three years without our Pride Block Party, we wanted our comeback to be an entire weekend of shows. With performances from some incredible queer talent and allies. This is without a doubt the biggest Pride show we will ever have thrown. We can't wait to welcome people back to celebrate together."

Lisa Connell, co-founder and promoter of Mother added:

"During lockdown, Mother made a promise to our community that we would dance again. It’s only right that for our first Pride party in three years, we programmed some of the most exciting and creative live acts to help us keep that promise. We're so proud of all the acts we have programmed. We can't wait to celebrate with our LGBTQ+ family in June."

Early Bird weekend tickets are on sale this Thursday from 9am on Eventbrite. Weekend tickets from €70 plus booking fee.
