The young star may have gotten a bit ahead of herself
It’s true that Britney Spears has had an eventful life - and she’s still only 40.
There’s no doubt that it will all make a very entertaining film one day, but don’t count on that day coming any time soon.
Spears had an amusing reaction to comments made by ‘Stranger Things’ star Millie Bobby Brown, where the young actress said that playing Spears in a biopic would be her ‘dream role’.
“I think her story, first of all, resonates with me,” the 18-year-old said during an interview on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’. “Growing up in the public eye, watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was young.… And I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way - and hers only.”
Spears later took to Instagram to respond, without specifically naming Brown. “Yeah I know I’ve posted too much this week on Instagram… kinda fun though !!!,” she wrote. “Now that I’m breathing … I have time … it’s different !!! I like it !!!” she said on Tuesday. “I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life … dude I’m not dead !!!”
Which, when you think about it, is an entirely reasonable response.
But when the time comes - which is hopefully a long time away - we’ll know the actress to look to. The question is, could Eleven pull it off?
