"Shooting the vaccine / Bill Gates is in my bloodstream"

People (quite rightly) took the p*ss out of Van Morrison and Ian Brown for their anti-lockdown protest songs - but who would have thought that Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl would be next in the firing line?

The pair have collaborated remotely on a new song called 'Eazy Sleazy' and although it's been hailed as 'satirical', its lyrics tread a very thin line. One verse, presumably taking aim at the conspiracy theorists among us, sees Jagger sing:

"Shooting the vaccine
Bill Gates is in my bloodstream
It's mind control
The earth is flat and cold
It's never warming up
The Arctic's turned to slush
The second coming's late
And there's aliens in the deep state"

Elsewhere, there are references to "Looking out from these prison walls" and being "bossed around by pricks" as well as "Cancel all the tours, football's fake applause."

Jagger said: "It’s a song that I wrote about coming out of lockdown, with some much needed optimism", while Grohl, meanwhile, was clearly awestruck at working with the Rolling Stones frontman. "It’s hard to put into words what recording this song with Sir Mick means to me," he said. "It’s beyond a dream come true. Just when I thought life couldn’t get any crazier......and it’s the song of the summer, without a doubt!!"

We'll respectfully disagree with you on that one, Dave.

This tweet, by Brian Jonestown Massacre frontman Anton Newcombe, sums it up:
