Rumours are rife this morning that Madonna has agreed to perform at next year's Superbowl XLVI half time show, according to website SB Nation. The half time show at the Superbowl is one of the most watched events in the medium of television, guaranteeing incredible exposure to anyone who performs. Black Eyed Peas performed at last year's game, while Paul McCartney, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and, infamously, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake have all previously performed.

Madonna's representatives have said there's "nothing to confirm at this point", but isn't it interesting how they're not outright denying the story? Madonna is scheduled to release a new signle in February or March of next year from her upcoming new album and the 2012 Superbowl will take place in Indianapolis on February 5th. Sounds like perfect timing to me.
