Justin Bieber hung up on a radio interview after the host compared his new single 'Boyfriend' to the music of Justin Timberlake. The comparison, which was clearly made as a compliment, wasn't well-received by the 18-year-old.

"Man, that's crazy because our voices sound nothing alike. I mean, I'm not trying to sound like anyone else. Saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment."

The call came to an abrupt end when the interviewer asked a question about One Direction's Harry Styles potentially dating Bieber's mother. Bieber retorted: "I don't think you should worry about me, worry about your mom, bro". The interviewer replied by saying his mother had died, after which Bieber hung up.

Bieber looks increasingly like he might be tossing aside the squeaky clean image which has been so carefully sculpted by his management. Earlier this year Bieber was involved in a (false) paternity claim and even wrote a song about the scandal on his new record in an effort to re-brand himself from a teen heart-throb to a credible young pop artist.
