The singer issued a vague threat about pulling out of her headline slot
There has been a lot of talk in recent days about this year's Glastonbury line-up, which was announced last week - more specifically about the lack of female acts amongst the main headliners.
The world's biggest music festival has come under fire for announcing a line-up featuring all-male headliners Elton John, Guns N' Roses and Arctic Monkeys.
One act who is not happy about how she has been announced for the festival, meanwhile, is Lana Del Rey - who will headline The Other Stage (the second-biggest stage) during the June event.
She left a sarcastic comment under the festival's Instagram post from her personal account, which read "Thanks for announcing that I was headlining the other stage. Thumbs up."
She apparently took umbrage with the fact that her name was not featured near the top of the bill but instead in alphabetical order further down, saying: "Well, I’m actually headlining the 2nd stage. But since there was no consideration for announcing that we’ll see."
Meanwhile, festival boss Emily Eavis was forced to defend this year's headliners, revealing that Guns N' Roses were booked after a female act believed to be Taylor Swift 'changed her touring plans'.
Eavis told The Guardian that she is "entirely focused on balancing our bill. It’s not just about gender, it’s about every aspect of diversity. We’re probably one of the only big shows that’s really focused on this."
She added: "We’re trying our best so the pipeline needs to be developed. This starts way back with the record companies, radio. I can shout as loud as I like but we need to get everyone on board."
Eavis also claimed that next year's line-up would feature two female headliners, both of whom have never played Glastonbury before.
