Well it was hardly a surprise to anyone that Lady Gaga dominated another award ceremony last night. Turning up to last night's Brit Awards in yet another show stopping outfit, Gaga picked up all three awards in her nominated categories, International Female Artist, International Breakthrough Artist and International Album. Strangely, she took to the stage alone, without any of her usual dancers, though she did have a larger than life statue of herself. She dedicated her performance of 'Telephone' and 'Dance In The Dark' to the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen.

In other Brit Awards news, The Spice Girls picked up the award for best Brits Performance of 30 years, but the audience was robbed of a repeat performance, as only Mel B and Geri Halliwell were present to accept the awards. Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Mel C had reportedly refused to prioritise the awards over their other commitments unless they were 100% sure they would win the award, but the Brit Award organisers had refused to disclose that information before the ceremony. The girls won the award for their 1997 performance of 'Wannabe' and 'Who Do You Think You Are'. Yep, the one where Geri wore that dress.

Meanwhile, Robbie Williams picked up his Outstanding Contribution Award and performed a medley of his best loved songs, 'Let Me Entertain You', 'Millenium', and 'Angels. Liam Gallagher snubbed his brother Noel and threw his microphone into the audience during his acceptance speech for Oasis' Brits Album of 30 Years award. And recent BBC Sound of 2010 poll winner Ellie Goulding was presented with her Critic's Choice award by Courtney Love.
Here's Ellie's performance at the Brit Award launch party earlier in the year.
