It may be difficult to believe it but Nirvana's Nevermind will celebrate its twentieth birthday in September of this year. We suppose this officially makes it a "classic" album, much in the same way that Led Zeppelin album were when Nevermind came out. Anyway, enough of this feeling old malarkey, we gathered news today of how Krist Novoselic, the lanky bass player of Nirvana, is set to perform the album in its entirety as part of the celebrations of its anniversary, so says Pitchfork anyway.
Novoselic will be joined by local musicans on September 20th at the Experience Music Project in Seattle. Dave Grohl, though, won't be around as his band the Foo Fighters will be on stage across the country in Cleveland.
Nevermind is to be reissued on 19th September and will include a rake of rarities and remixes in its four CDS and one DVD collection. Only 10,000 copies will be made of the album which has sold 30 million units worldwide.
