KISS frontman Gene Simmons is the latest high-profile name to be accused of sexual assault - but rather than the offence dating back years or even generations, his accuser claims that the incident in question happened just last month.
A lawsuit was filed on Friday in the Los Angeles County Superior court, alleging that he had acted inappropriately with a female journalist during an interview at his California restaurant on November 1st. She alleges "unwanted, unwarranted sexual advances” and more specifically, that he “forcefully” grabbed her hand and placed it on his knee, then 'flicked' her throat. It's also alleged that he groped her behind while posing for a group photo.
Her lawyer claimed that she was "embarrassed and humiliated" by the encounter.
The 68-year-old Simmons took to Twitter to deny the allegations, saying "I look forward to my day in court where the evidence will prove my innocence."
