Kings of Leon have begun working on new material for the follow up to 2008's phenomenally successful 'Only By The Night'.
The Followill clan began sessions on Monday, with drummer Nathan Followill giving fans updates via Twitter. He said he was "beaming with excitement and a hangover at the same time". He also said that day one was 'a musical success' and that the band have "put down some jams that I think you all will like".
Meanwhile, the Daily Star has reported that the band had been concerned about royalties.
" We started seriously writing the songs when we got back home from tour…I got a call from Caleb going: ‘I’m sitting here writing the next album by myself’. And we’re like: ‘Oh no, you’re not’... We ended up going to his house so that when the record comes out he can’t go: ‘Dude, I’m getting 70% of this s**t'."
