Grammy winner Kelly Clarkson will bring her Stronger Tour to Dublin's O2 in the autumn. It's been ten years since Clarkson was stormed to victory on the first season of American Idol and it's a testament to her that she's managed to stay relevant for the next decade. Clarkson released her fifth album Stronger at the end of last year, which led to the New York Times heralding her as the "Mary J. Blige of pop". While we're not sure what Ms. Blige would have to say about that, it's not bad company to be in.
Clarkson was last in town for a gig in The Olympia a couple of years ago, where she covered The Black Keys' 'Lies', which our music editor very happy.
The date for Clarkson's O2 show is October 10th and support on the night will come from Cover Drive. Tickets are priced at €44.05 and are on sale from Friday 25th May.
