It's the first track from his forthcoming new album 'God's Country'

Kanye West is back with a new song - and he's certainly making a statement with it.

'Wash Us in the Blood' sees the rapper team up with his former brother-in-law (of sorts) Travis Scott, the former partner of Kylie Jenner.

The song was mixed by Dr. Dre and the accompanying video - which sees clips of various terrible moments of police brutality, mixed with moments from his Saint Pablo tour - is stark and certainly memorable. It also has chilling footage of the moments leading up to jogger Ahmaud Arbery's shooting.

The song denounces his critics, as he raps: "They don’t want me to be Kanye/ They don’t want Kanye to be Kanye/ They wanna sign a fake Kanye, they tryna sign a calm ‘Ye" as well as launching a tirade against the media: "They wanna edit the interviews, they wanna take it to interludes/…You know that it’s fake if it’s in the news.”

West has also announced a new album, 'God's Country', with a release date TBC.
