The English actor was Swift's muse for much of her new album 'Lover'
Taylor Swift has written a lot of songs about her boyfriends and exes, but few of them have commented on them publicly.
But while she may have 'Style' about Harry Styles and 'Dear John' about John Mayer, her current beau Joe Alwyn has had practically an entire album written about him (her latest release, 'Lover'.)
The English actor, who is currently starring in the BBC's new adaptation of 'A Christmas Carol' as Bob Cratchit, discussed being the pop idol's muse in yesterday's Sunday Times.
He was asked whether the fact that his partner of three years writes songs about him is weird or affects their relationship, and said 'No, not at all. No. It’s flattering.”
The pair have been extremely private with their relationship and are rarely pictured in public. Alwyn said that they make a concerted effort to drown out the noise and not pay attention “to what I don’t want to pay attention to.” He added: "I turn everything else down on a dial. I don't have any interest in tabloids."
Without getting into specifics, he also said that he was focused on promoting his career, rather than his love life. “I know what I want to do, and that’s this," he said. "And that’s what I am doing."
