James Blunt, best-known for having his hey day in the mid 00s and getting You’re Beautiful stuck in our heads forevermore, has announced a new album in the best possible way.
As we and the rest of the Twitterverse have made clear, repeatedly, 2016 has just been the worst.
So when James Blunt announced his newest album, he naturally made reference to it:
If you thought 2016 was bad - I'm releasing an album in 2017.

Blunt is pretty much a pro at this whole tweeting thing, and made a brilliant comment about appearing in Louis Theroux's Jimmy Savile documentary last month.
We’re also loving the reactions to Blunt’s announcement:
@JamesBlunt @EmiliaJayee haven't we suffered enough? Please have some mercy James 😱

@JamesBlunt Is it too late to start a crowd source campaign to buy all the copies and ship them to Mars?
