A selection of Ireland's most original independent musicians have been announced to play a show in Whelan's to raise emergency funds for the East African drought and famine crisis. The drought situation in the Horn of Africa has reached crisis levels, the worst drought to hit the region in 60 years. More than ten million people are in need of humanitarian aid; including approximately 3.2 million in Ethiopia, 2.8 million in Somalia and 3.2 million in Kenya.

ALLIANCE - independent artists for Africa will take place on Sunday September 25th, from 2pm until late and tickets are priced at €15.

Artists on the bill include And So I Watch You From Afar, Patrick Kelleher & His Cold Dead Hands, Retarded Cop, Tieranniesaur, Funeral Suits, Toby Kaar and DJ sets from Nialler9 and Harmless Noise.
