HMV are supporting cancer charity CLIC Sargeant by producing an 18 month calendar which takes memorable highlights from its acclaimed 'my inspiration' campaign, which has been running for three years now.
Artists to feature in the calendar include Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Keith Richards and Bono, who have each chosen lyrics that have inspired them. Elvis Presley and Bob Marley also appear in the calendar with some of their inspirational lyrics, chosen by the HMV staff and Island Records founder Chris Blackwell respectively.
The A3-sized calendar is made up of black and white portrait photographs of the iconic artists, in turn taken by celebrated photographers such as Anton Corbijn, Fiona Freund, Dean Chalkley, Lawrence Watson, Adrian Boot and Frank Ockenfels 3 . Two covers are available; a standard version highlighting all the featured artists, and a special limited edition run featuring Bob Dylan. The calendar runs from August '09 until January '11, and is priced at €8.99.
