The singer-songwriter from Dublin made his US television debut on last night's 'Late Show with Stephen Colbert'.
After being announced for this year's Coachella line-up, Dermot Kennedy made his US television debut on 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert' last night where he performed his latest single, 'Power Over Me'.
The song has been streamed a whopping 16.5 million times on Spotify since its release in December of last year, and has fast become one of his most recognisable tracks. Joined by a full band and a striking light show, Kennedy gave a spirited performance and was soon joined by Colbert after it finished.
Here's the performance in full.
Kennedy has been slowly building up a reputation in the Irish music scene since his first debut, but crossed over in the US with the help of Taylor Swift, who was a champion of his work and sound. From there, it was a sold-out tour of the US and Canada and now, with Coachella ahead of him in the coming months, his career's going to sky-rocket from here on out.
