Ahead of their new album this June
A coincidence or not, we're liking what we're hearing.
Haim have decided to gift us with a brand new single, entitled 'I Know Alone'. The new song marks the band's fifth single taken from their upcoming album 'Women in Music Pt. III', which was due to be released last week, but got pushed back until the summer.
With the sisters self-isolating together, there was no choice for the new music video other than a trademark dance routine between them, filmed on what looks like a basketball court. Directed remotely by Jake Schreier, who also directed Haim's brilliant 'Want You Back', the siblings dance to the sombre synth-heavy track.
Writing about the new single on their Instagram page, Danielle Haim said that the happenings in recent weeks has made the song take on a new meaning. Uploading a very honest photo of herself, the singer/songwriter wrote: "Now with everything going on, 'alone' feels like a ritual. Only I know my own little secret routine on these days of being by myself and I almost take comfort in it.
"It’s my own way of staying sane in my aloneness and it’s really helping me get through this. I hope all this makes sense — trying to describe a song is always a little daunting for me — but I always want to let you guys know where I’m coming from."
Her's the music video for Haim 'I Know Alone'.
Haim's third album 'Women in Music Pt. III' will be released on June 26.
