Just two weeks after announcing a series of intimite gigs in Dublin and Cork, it appears Grace Jones has cancelled her Irish appearances.
The Irish Times' Jim Carroll reports that The Savoy Theatre in Cork is listing her scheduled dates on July 23rd and 24th as cancelled. There's no official news yet about The Wright Venue shows, but while Grace's myspace page lists upcoming shows in Poland, Belgium and the UK, it does not list the Irish shows at all.
Both events still appear on the ticketmaster website, but neither are currently on sale. We expect an official announcement to come shortly.

Grace's US based agents have issued the following statement, blaming the promoters for the cancellation.
'The reported performance dates for Grace Jones in Dublin and Cork July 21 – 24 have been cancelled. The promoter James Delaney O’Neil of Rockefeller Productions is in breach of his contract by failing to pay deposits and advertising these dates without a fully executed artist agreement. We apologize to Graces devoted fans there in Ireland and hope to be in concert there in the near future'.
