So, as we mentioned earlier this morning, there'll be no Led Zeppelin reunion in the near future. BUT WAIT! Another band have confirmed today that they'll be ending their self-imposed exile from the pop charts - Girls Aloud.

Much like Led Zep, Girls Aloud have posted a 'countdown' on their website and when the time expires later this year (their tenth anniversary, coincidentally) it is expected to be revealed that the gals will be releasing a brand new single.

The Mirror has posted some of the details, saying that the track was recorded with frequent collaborators Xenomania earlier this year and that some of them (Hi Nadine) recorded their vocals separately from the rest of the group, adding that the five members have met up as recently as last week to film the music video.

Cheryl Cole has long been hinting at a GA reformation, telling Jonathan Ross that there will be more concrete news "before Christmas".

Anyone excited for this? It's no Led Zeppelin reunion, that's for sure.
