In the wake of McBusted, 5ive (well, four if anyone was counting), New Kids On The Block, Steps, Backstreet Boys, and the myriad other pop groups that have reformed recently for a quick buck, pop reunions are very much in vogue at the moment and now the latest group who will drag their 90's pop kicking and screaming into 2014 will be S Club 7.
The seven-piece - which consists of Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jo O'Meara, Hannah Spearrit, Jon Lee, Rachel Stevens and Bradley McIntosh - scored four number one hits and a number one album on their initial run. Not only that, such was the popularity of the group that they spawned a TV series, a line of dolls, a movie called 'Seeing Double' .
In addition to the above, we were also treated to S Club Juniors (later S Club 8), as the S Club assembly line kicked into full gear.
S Club fell on hard times, though, and public disinterest led to the band splitting in 2003. Jo, Paul and Bradley continued to tour as S Club 3 but it's only now that the full gamut will be back together belting out 'Reach For The Stars' to their heart's content. May God have mercy on us all.
