The Music Show 2009 hits the RDS next weekend with performances from The Blizzards, Imelda May, Republic of Loose, The Coronas, Director, Delorentos, David Kitt and The Brilliant Things!

There'll also be a host of discussions and workshops and exhibitions, among which is The Rory Gallagher Exhibition, which will showcase a selection of guitars and equipment belonging to the late guitarist. The main attraction in the exhibit will be trademark Fender Sunburst Stratocaster 1961 which he used throughout his 30-year music career, including 11 studio albums and countless concerts, and which cost him only $100.

There'll be interviews with Glen Hansard and Christy Moore as well as panel discussions with the likes of Bill Whelan, Jim Sheridan, Barry Devlin, RSAG, May Kay from Fight Like Apes, and loads more besides.

The Music Show 2009 takes place at the RDS on October 3rd and 4th. Tickets are available from www.ticketmaster.ie.
