The reworked version of 'Tiny Dancer' is out tomorrow
It's an undoubtedly random pairing, but two of the biggest stars of their respective generations are joining forces on a new song.
As you may have heard, Britney Spears is making her musical comeback by collaborating with the one and only Elton John, on a reworked version of his timeless hit 'Tiny Dancer', originally released in 1971.
He shared a video on his Instagram of a DJ playing it at La Guerite restaurant in Cannes, where he regularly holidays in the south of France.
The 75-year-old shuffles into the DJ booth before the DJ plays the song, titled 'Hold Me Closer' - which has been given a dancey beat with Spears' vocals - and sings along to the lyrics, whooping 'Britney Spears!' a few times.
It's the follow-up to his most recent single 'Cold Heart' with Dua Lipa, which was a mash-up of several of his previous hits including 'Rocket Man' and 'Sacrifice'.
Spears, meanwhile - who has deactivated her Instagram in the last day or so - took to Twitter to plug the collaboration, which is out tomorrow.
