For many the Body & Soul Village at Electric Picnic is one of the highlights of the entire festival. An eclectic mix of art installations, music, theatre and culinary delights, the village is a festival-within- festival and, as some describe it, the heartbeat of Electric Picnic. Not only that, there are a whole host of nooks and crannies for you to relax in or around, such as the Love Letter Stage, the Zen Gardens and even a hot tubs for the more adventurous souls.
The Body & Soul stage, set inside a natural amphitheatre, has featured some of the Picnic's most revered performances in recent years, such as last year's epic shows from Janelle Monae, Caribou and Villagers. This year festival-goers can expect more of the same excellent music, with a particular focus on emerging Irish talent as well as some exciting electro acts from overseas.
Canadian electronic group Austra will be one of the most anticipated performers at the stage, as will Irish troubadour James Vincent McMorrow, whose recent album Early In The Morning has been making critics in mainland Europe and the US take note.
See below for the full list of artists scheduled to play the Body & Soul stage. We bet that you can expect a few special surprise performances too.
